Notes It is an anthology containing the biographies and examples of the works of important poets and literary figures who grew up in the Islamic world from the end of the 5th (11th) century until 572 (1176). It is one of the author's most important books and was compiled in ten volumes in the beginning of 573 (1177). The author wrote his work as an addendum to Ebû Mansûr es-Seâlibî's (d. 429/1038) Yetîmetü'd-dehr and its supplement called Dümyetü'l-kasr written by Bâharzî (d. 467/1075).
