Notes
The work has eight chapters. The chapters are respectively about amr-i bi'l-marûf, the fards of prayer, the wajibs of prayer, the sunnahs of prayer, the makruhs of prayer, the makruhs of prayer and ablution. It is noteworthy that the author opened a separate section for the index of the work and started this section with a salvele as if he were starting a separate work and ended it with a farewell recording. Although the author does not economize on words in the introduction and ferağ record, he does not provide any information about his identity. Among the ten copies of the work in Turkish manuscript libraries, the author's name is not registered in all but one. The work is attributed to Birgivî in the imprint of one copy (Elmalı Halk, Nr. 000081). The author introduces himself as a mosque in the faragh record and sees his action as a cem instead of telîf. After the faraq entry, the copyist mentions the names of four books of the author - including this work we have - and states that the author wrote these four books after writing two hundred and forty books, and recommends that those who want to perform a valid prayer should read these books. Celaleddin Suyûtî has a work called Riyazu't-talibîn, which is one of these four books mentioned by the copyist, and as mentioned in the note above, he is a prolific writer. Based on this note of the copyist, the work was attributed to Celâleddîn Suyûtî. Additional information: Between 1a-8b, there are leaves written in taliq calligraphy belonging to another work (commentary). No separate receipt was kept for these leaves missing from the head. These leaves contain issues and hadiths related to prayer. There is a hadith in 9a. Many of the tahşiyes in the margins were written with the signature "li-muharririhî". There are also matlaps on the sides.
