(218b) In the name of God... Praise be to God, and that is enough... And then the poorest of God’s servants, Al-Bari Ali bin Sultan Muhammad Al-Qari, says: When I saw a group of hadith scholars collecting the well-known hadiths on the tongues (and identifying) the authentic, the good, the weak, and the fabricated ones according to the (good) method, it came to the lukewarm mind to contemplate those notebooks by restricting themselves to what was said in them that it had no basis or fabrication, as a reason for adjusting them to the best form, for the established hadiths... (252a) And in Dhu al-Khalifa... Ali’s wells, may God be pleased with him, for he fought the jinn in some of those wells, and it is a lie from the one who said it. Among the fabricated hadiths is what Ibn Adi mentioned in the biography of Al-Hasan bin Ali bin Ali Zakaria bin Salih Al-Adawy Al-Basri, nicknamed (...) on the authority of Ali... The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “The night I was taken to heaven, my vein fell to the ground, and roses grew from it. Whoever wants to smell my scent, let him smell the roses.”
