(149b) In the name of God... Glory be to Him, there is no stronger proof than His words... And then he says... Ghanem bin Muhammad Al-Baghdadi This is a treatise on conflicting evidence that I collected for some of my fellow judges after the petition, by way of exposition and euphemism... And I called it the refuge of judges when there is conflicting evidence... (165b) And if he does not find a narration of it from our companions and the later scholars agree on something to be followed, and if they disagree, he will strive and issue fatwas according to what is right in his view, and praise be to God. By whose grace good deeds are accomplished and blessings descend. The completion of its retouching and blackening occurred on the twentieth Wednesday of the first of the inanimate objects of the year one thousand sixty-nine.
