Sample Text (1b) In the name of God... Abu Tammam Habib bin Aws Al-Tai said, praising Muhammad bin Hassan Al-Dhabi, and he praised this poem by Yahya bin Thabit, then he composed it... Muhammad bin Hassan Al-Alfiyyat in praise... Do not give me what is to blame, for I have poured out my tears... I spread out his gardens and they became familiar with the flavors of the annas and the andas, so he watered him with dew musk, the camphor of youth, and the thread of every sky was dissolved in him... (259a) I have reaped in you verses of the fruits of my praise of the tongue of gratitude, and I have given them to you, and they are among the purest gifts I have ever had. This is the last of Abu Tammam’s poetry that was found, and with it the collection was completed. The emptiness of what I wrote occurred at the end of God’s blessed watch in Shawwal of the year six hundred and twenty-four. Praise be to God... God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. (259b) It was narrated that Abu Tammam... (260b) He gave seventy-one thousand dinars.
