(161a) God Almighty said: It is not befitting for the Most Merciful to take a son. Therefore, Imam Al-Baydawi said, “May God whiten his face, and it is not appropriate for him to take a child, nor does he require it if he asks for it, for example, because it is impossible.” The eminent scholar Ibn al-Kamal responded to him by saying that the impossible may necessitate the impossible, so it is permissible to request based on the estimation of the fulfillment of the impossible request.
