At the beginning of the title of the work, it is stated that "It contains the appendix of the late great Turkish scholar Cevdet Pasha about the dictionary of the Quran."
el-Beyan fi âyâti'l-Kur'anTurkish Quran: It is the translation of the Quran together with its text.
It was compiled by the Maarif Library by a committee of scholars under the chairmanship of Osman Raşid Efendi, one of the lecturers and preachers of Fatih, and corrected by Süleyman Tevfik Bey, one of the prodigious disciples of the late Zebrizade, the Mufti of Aleppo.
