On the additional 16 pages at the beginning of the book, there is a "Copy of the Certificate of Registration Issued by the Mecelle Society". The other 14 pages contain the "Index" of the work.
This assembly has been enacted for the fourth time with the arrangement and revision of His Excellency Devletlu Ahmed Cevdet Pasha, the Minister of Justice and the President of the Assembly Society, and with the official license numbered 413 of the Ministry of Education, dated 21 Rebiul-Ahir year 1313.
