In the name of God... Praise be to God... Abdullah bin Ali [Adi] bin Al-Hamra Al-Qurashi Al-Zuhri is from among themselves, and it was said that he was a Thaqafi, an ally of them. He was nicknamed Abu Amr, and it was said that Abu Omar, and Al-Bukhari said Abdullah bin Adi bin Al-Hamra, Abu Amr and Abu Omar. Abu Amr said, he had a companion and a narration... and he lived until the caliphate of Abd al-Malik bin Marwan. I do not remember his narration from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. His brother Amr narrated it, and he will recite it, God willing, the Almighty, in peace. Ibn Al-Akwa', this is what the group of hadith scholars say. They attribute him to his grandfather, and praise be to God, as his family passed by. May God's blessings be upon Muhammad, the Chosen One from his wilderness, and upon his family and companions.
