Notes There is a manuscript illumination on leaf 1b. The copy starts with the Surah al-Fatiha and ends with the 19th verse of the Surah al-Qamar. The leaves from the beginning of the copy to leaf 9b are framed with a golden ruler. The copy copied with naskh calligraphy has vowels in some places. The verses are written in red ink and are completely accented. Their names, places of revelation and number of verses are written in green ink. There are corrections in the book. Mefâtîhu'l-Gayb is the commentary of the Holy Quran by Fahreddin er-Râzî (d. 606/1210). The author used narration and insight methods together in his work, tried to support the narrated information with rational evidence by making a lot of rational deductions, and sometimes examined them based on philosophical discussions. Sample Text (1b) In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God who has enabled us to perform the best acts of obedience, taught us how to gain the most complete happiness, and guided us to say: I seek refuge in God from Satan, the accursed of all sins and abominations. We begin to perform all good deeds and deeds. “Praise be to God,” to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens, “Lord.” “The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” to those with needs and masters of necessities, “King of the Day of Judgment” in Isal The righteous are raised to degrees, and the ungodly are placed in the depths, “You are we worship, and You are we seek help” in performing the set of obligations, “Guide us to the path.” The Straight” according to all kinds of guidance, “the path of those upon whom You have bestowed” in all circumstances and articles, “not upon whom wrath is incurred, nor those who go astray” from People of ignorance and misguidance. And blessings be upon Muhammad Al-Mu’ayyad with the best miracles and verses, and upon his family and companions according to the sequence of verses, and peace be upon him. As for what follows: This is a book that includes an explanation of some of what God Almighty has bestowed upon us of the knowledge of Surat Al-Fatihah (1001a) “Indeed, We have sent upon them a harsh wind on a day of constant badness.” And it contains issues: The first: God Almighty said: “So how was My torment? And a warning” with the Oneness of God. The pronoun, and he did not say that I; Or me, and the answer is what we mentioned in the Almighty’s saying: “So We opened the gates of heaven,” and He said: “So how was my torment?” And He did not say our torment. The second issue: the cockroach; There are different aspects to it, one of which is: the loud wind caused by screeching, and the squeak: the intensity of shouting... As for squeaking: it occurs rarely, so it is not well-known; So he denied it. The fourth issue: God Almighty said: “On a day of continuing bad luck,” and He said in the prostration: “On days of bad luck,” and He said in Al-Haqqah, “Seven nights and eight days of bad luck,” and what is meant by today is - Here - time and time; As in the Almighty’s saying: The day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I will be resurrected.
