| Notes | Black leather binding and şemsel. There are seals of Mahmud I and Ahmed I. This poet, whose name is Osman and whose pseudonym is Ruhi, is one of the great Turkish poets raised in Baghdad after Fuzuli. His father was Turkish and was in the entourage of Ayas Pasha, who was the governor of Baghdad in 952 (1545). Ruhi's characteristics are magisterial and mystical. He died in Damascus in 1014 (1605-06). |
