| Notes | In Y.1a, sultan Osman b. There are seals of Mustafa and Sultan Selim in A.D. 127. Micleped black leather binding. Cem, the son of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, was born in Edirne in 864 (1459), and he was an extraordinarily gifted prince. After his father's death, he fought for the throne with his brother Beyazid II. His army was defeated and he was forced to seek refuge with the Knights of Rhodes. He died in Naples in 900 (1495). Most of his divan consists of ghazals and contains munacat, tevhidi na't tercil clause and enigmas. |
