| Notes | In Y.1b and 2a, Fatiha and Elif lam are written on two beautifully illuminated plates. The surah heads are illuminated, the lines are lined with a thick gold ruler, and the page edges are wide, flat silver framed. The outer covers of the volume have gilded sunbursts and corners, and the inside has exquisite relief and carved sunbursts. |
