Notes The layout is illuminated, the rulers are gilded. Red and nuhudi leather binding with miklep and şemsel. It is the biographies of Shaykh al-Islam Mehmed Es'ad Efendi, the son of Shaykh al-Islam Isma'il Esved, which contains the descriptions of the musical connoisseurs. The author died in 1166 (1753). He is the father of poet Fitnat. He has a dictionary from Turkish to Arabic and Persian called Lehcet el-Lügat, compilations and some surah commentaries. See Flügel, II, 400; O.M., I, 238.
