Hoca Nuşret Mehmed Efendi was a scholar and virtuous person from the memory books of Nuriosmaniye library. He was one of those who knew the Persian language well and gave lessons to some enthusiasts. He died in 1208 (1793-94). The majority of the poems that make up his divan are in Persian. He was capable of nazm in three languages. |
