| Notes | In the gold written confirmation and explanation in Y.1b of this mushaf, Caliph Osman b. Although it is written that it was written by Affan, it is much more likely that it was written in the II-III century H. In the same explanation, it is 660 (1262) It is stated that eight leaves from the beginning were destroyed when it was in the hands of the Mosul Judge in 1960, and that four leaves of the book, from Y.174 to 177, were burned in a fire that occurred on the 26th night of Shawwal, 740 (1340), of this mushaf, which was later transferred to Damascus. Surah Fatiha (1) with century abrogation We learn that the part up to the phrase ......................... has been added to the 151st verse of Surah Al-Baqarah (2). Moreover, it is seen that many pages of the Mushaf were rewritten in Arabic script over the deleted writings. The page with the confirmation at the beginning has an inscription surrounded by three rows of black and gilded, and on the page of Y.2a, the verse ......................... is written in white on a dark blue background and is illuminated with Greek letters. Its binding is made of miklep leather, and it has gilded and engraved decorations on the covers and the phrase ........................ is written on the back of the mikleb. |
