| Notes | Microbled red leather binding. This book, an anonymous work, describes Fazıl Ahmed Pasha's conquest of Crete in 1077 (1666-1667). First of all, there is the ahidnâme sent to Nemse Çasar and the reply he received. At the end of this book, which describes the siege and conquest of Heraklion in a brief manner, it reports the ammunition and funds spent in this battle, the number of soldiers martyred and captured, the number of prisoners taken, and so on. It is possible that this work is the work of Hasan Ağa, the author of Fazıl Ahmed Pasha. See Babinger, 216. |
