| Notes | The layout is illuminated, the rulers are gilded. Miclepli canfes covered skin. Yahya is the son of Sheikhulislam Zekeriya Efendi. He was born in Istanbul in 960 (1552-53), joined the Silki district, became the Anatolian and Rumelian kadiaskeri respectively, and came to the hermitage three times. He accompanied Murad IV on his expedition to Iran and died in Istanbul in 1053 (1643-44). |
