Notes The zahriye and the layout are illuminated, the rulers are gilded. Brown leather binding Y1. has the seal of Mahmud I with his signature. Mahmud Abdülbaki, the owner of this council, was born in 933 (1526-27) and died in 1008 (1599-2000). He is the son of one of the muezzins of the Fatih mosque. After completing his madrasa education, he served as judge of Aleppo, Mecca and Istanbul. Anatolia and Rumelia became kadıaskeri. He became a popular poet of Suleiman the Magnificent and also understood the periods of Selim II and Mehmed III. Apart from his poems, he translated Askalani's work called Mevahib-i beduniye under the name Ma'alim el-yakin.
