Notes	The layout is illuminated, the rulers are gilded. Dark brown leather binding with miklep and şemsel. Salih b., the brother of Koca Nişancı Celâl-zade Mustafa. This work, which was dedicated to Suleiman the Magnificent by Celaladdin in 953 (1547), was created by collecting from Makrizi, Ebu'l-Fida and Suyuti. As its name might indicate, this is not a history of Egypt, but a general description of that country. A translation of this work into French is available in the National Library of Paris, No.840-845. It was suppressed by İbrahim Müteferrika. See Blochet, A.F., 61, P., 172, 840-845; Rieu, 67b.
