This book, also called Lugat Deşişiye in reference to the author, is a dictionary from Persian to Turkish. Its author is Mehmed b. Mustafa b. Sheikh Lutfullah. It was presented to Hasan Pasha, who was the governor of Egypt between 988-991. The dictionaries in the book are arranged in alphabetical order according to the last letter of the words. It is one of the best existing Persian-Turkish dictionaries. |
