Physical description: 15 lines per page in naskh script on glazed, laid European paper. Gold borders and verse markers; red punctuation marks; catchwords. Surah headings in red. Text fully vocalized. A few marginal notes concerned with recitation and marking aḥzāb. Partially detached from spine.
Decoration: On leaves 1b-2a, text of Sūrat al-Fātiḥah and beginning of Sūrat al-Baqarah bordered by gold on either side and rectangles above and below. Upper rectangle contains yellow border with vegetal design on gold ground. It is surmounted by a gold cupola containing a vegetal design, bordered on three sides by a double border of lavender and green, with blue and red tīghs on top. The lower rectangle contains a double border of green and lavender as well as a vegetal design on gold ground. Ajzāʼ marked in margin with stylized illuminated flower with tīghs above and below.

Red leather Islamic binding with flap; gold-stamped border. Blue paper pastedowns and flyleaves. Binding repaired with green leather and blue cloth.
