Miscellaneous collection of literary treatises and allegorical essays in refined prose and verse by Javāhir Mal, Ẓuhūrī, ʿĀlī, Ẓahīrā, and Vaḥīd al-Zamān. Volume not dated; items a-c and i-j dated (ranging 10 Rabīʿ al-S̲ānī 1240-11 Shaʿbān 1241/2 December 1824-21 March 1826); probably completed in the Madrassah Ghāzī al-Dīn Khān, Delhi (Shahjahanabad). Awkward nastaʿlīq and shikastah āmīz. Limited annotations in margins. Stamped and pencil foliation. Lacking original binding. Binding damaged (dark brown leather exterior over pasteboards with combed marbled papers for doubleurs); labels. Folios unbound; cropped, wormholes, stains, creases, later repairs. Condition fragile.
