Valuable and rare collection of miscellaneous works (22) on poetry, lexicography, Sufism and Islamic theology, mainly by the Ḥanafī scholar, Muḥammad Rafīʿ al-Dīn ibn Shāh Valī Allāh Dihlavī. The volume may be the author’s draft copy, in which other scribes have been invited to transcribe portions of text. The IOL red leather binding, dated 27 Nov 1924, labels the volume Opuscula of Rafīʿ al-Dīn Dihlawī etc. Not dated, except for items A and R, dated 3 Z̲ū al-Ḥijjah 1214/RY 42 of Emperor Shāh ʿĀlam/28 April 1800. Summary of contents by a later hand in the verso of first flyleaf. Most works are transcribed in rough nastaʿlīq, but occasionally also in naskh. Folios overlaid with net in places; wormholes; patches applied in some margins.
