Praise be to God, praise be to those who are thankful, and may blessings and peace be upon Muhammad and upon his pure family and companions. This is a summary of how to work in the astrolabe. It contains twenty-one chapters. The first chapter on the names and terminology of the astrolabe is a Greek instrument called... the astrolabe, meaning the mirror of the stars.
