Notes
Miscellaneous collection of unconnected fragments from unrelated works on magic and spagiric medicine, prayers, Sufism, Islamic tradition, mathematics, Persian literature, and lexicography, assembled from multiple heterogeneous sources. Volume not dated. Neat to scribal nastaʿlīq and shikastah āmīz by multiple hands. Extensive annotations in margins. Foliation in pencil. Fragments of at least three sets of unrelated bindings that probably do not belong with the present fragmentary manuscript, comprised of 1) a delaminating brown leather board with attached flyleaf indicating it was taken from a volume of the Risālah-'i ḥaqq numā by Prince Dārā Shukūh; 2) delaminating boards covered with yellow paper on the exterior with the front labelled Ḥāshiyah-'i ʿAbd al-Ḥakīm Sarhindī ; 3) exposed paper board with leather edging. Folios mostly unbound; water stains, cropped, wormholes, creased and torn in parts, later marginal extensions and repairs. Condition fragile.
