Notes
Collection of poetic compositions in varied forms and genres by the Qumm-trained Shīʿī theologian at the court of Shāh ʿAbbās II Ṣafavī (r. 1052-1077/1642-1667), Ḥakīm Mullā ʿAbd al-Razzāq ibn ʿAlī ibn Ḥusayn Lāhijī, author of the Gawhar-i murād , who took the takhalluṣ Fayyāz̤ (d. 1072/1661). Volume not dated; datable from the mid to late seventeenth century. Neat to rough scribal nastaʿlīq-i khafī; occasional rubrication in rough nastaʿlīq probably supplied by a later hand. Limited annotations and corrections in margins. Intermittent pencil foliation. Lacking original binding. Paper dust wrapper (BEIC legal publication on Regulation XVII for September 1817); partial watermarks (S & C Wise, 1814); labels, torn and stained. Folios unbound; cropped, water and fungal stains, extensive wormholes, later repairs. Condition fragile.
