Praise be to God who cherished the people of His obedience, honored them with faith, honored them with the Qur’an, and commanded them to wage jihad... Know, may God Almighty grant you success, that we found the sayings of the knights and the opinions of the brave ones in them... many and extensive, so we took from the best of what we narrated from them twenty chapters... ten of which are about riding, and ten of them... about jumping, and we began with riding.
