Notes
Rare collection of Sufi analects prefixed with a separate preface by ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad al-Nasafī (d. circa 661/1262). Volume not dated; datable to the mid sixteenth century. Neat, minute nastaʿlīq with occasional shikastah flourishes. The hand is broadly consistent as the work of a single scribe (unnamed). Stamped foliation. Lacks original binding. Original text cropped, cut and remounted with new margins in gutter. Folios subsequently rebound in IOL red half leather binding, stamp dated 21 Oct 1935. Folios slightly damaged by wormholes, cropped margins, and occasional stains. Labels from the earlier wrapper remounted at beginning. Condition moderately fragile.
