I heard Abu Abdullah Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Hanbal, may God be pleased with him, and he mentioned the morals of the pious, and he said, “I ask God not to hate us, where are we among these people?” I heard Abu Abdullah, and he mentioned the piousness of Shuaib bin Harb, so he said, “Check it out.” He said, “It is not for you to paint the wall... from the outside, lest it get in the way.”
