Light staining and smudging; front cover and leaves 1-16 detached., Origin: Juzʼ 1 completed 15 Jumādá I 959 H [9 May 1552], by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad Iṣfahānī (leaf 108b)., Incipit: الحمد لله مستحق الحمد وموجبه | Full brown leather with blind-stamped central mandorla and gold-stamped fillets and pendants; tan leather doublures. | On leaf 2a, owner's note and stamp of Muḥammad Bāqir al-Najafī. On leaf 9a, owner's notes by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad Riḍā ibn Muḥammad Bāqir and Shaykh Khiḍr ibn Shallāl.
