Notes Treatise on the principles of jurisprudence according to the Ḥanafite school. | Ms. codex., Title from fol. 1a (later replacement)., Physical description: 13 lines per page. Written in large medium naskh in black ink. Larger script for headings. Soft light cream paper with laid lines and pulp visible. Fibers visible on the surface. Hāshiyah on the margins (rare after fol. 44a). Fol. 1-7 are later replacements on thick European paper with watermark. On fol. 129b is an obliterated inscription in Ottoman Turkish., Origin: Copy completed in 861 H. by Jalāl al-Dīn ibn Aḥmad ibn Dalanjī (colophon, fol. 129a, followed by verses of poetry in Persian)., Incipit: Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and the end is for the righteous, and blessings be upon His Messenger, Muhammad, and upon his family all. The chapter on the matter is the saying of the one who said it. For someone other than Him, I do and His reality does not cease. Beginning of original copy (fol. 8a): The decree, for the pure and complete is what a person pronounces as the one who legislated. Explicit: The circumstance is a reality that becomes a metaphor for the condition. The book has been completed | Modern binding with flap, consisting of soft brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap, with a blind-stamped and color painted panel on each cover.
