Praise be to God who saved us from blindness and saved us from this oppression and abasement..., Colophon: Commented by the poor man to God in need of His pardon and forgiveness, Ashour ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Fath al-Umari, from the written copy in the handwriting of the author, the Sheikh Imam, the learned scholar, the hadith scholar, Hafiz Sharaf al-Din Abi Muhammad Abd al-Mu’min ibn Khalaf ibn Abi. Al-Hassan bin Sharaf bin Al-Khidr bin Musa Al-Tuni, originally born and raised in Damietta, may God benefit him. Most recently on Tuesday, the eleventh of Jumada al-Awwal in the year six hundred and ninety-four in Egypt, at the Maliki school next to the Masr al-Mahrousa Mosque, and he asked that his compiler, its writer, its reader, and its observers benefit from it.
