Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red in Text 2. Dark cream paper, glossy, with laid lines and chain lines visible. Fol. 1 and 196 are later additions. Stained with dampness ; some worm damage ; a few loose leaves., Inscription in Arabic script in red pencil on fol. 1a: "Raqm 78"., Origin: According to colophon, Text 2 copied by Yūsuf ibn Ibrāhīm, and completed in Mecca, on Wednesday 9 Rajab 848 [Oct. 22, 1444] (fol. 193b). \| 1. fol. 2b-40b: al-Multaqaṭ min al-Jawāhir al-muḍiʼah fī ṭabaqāt al-Ḥanafīyah / ʻAbd al-Qādir ibn Muḥammad al-Qurashī. -- Mach, R. Both covers have a central lozenge consisting of gilt impressions of a small circular stamp. Impressions of the same stamp in the inner corners of the border, which consists of a guilloche and fillets. Rebacked. Traces of an embossed leather doublure on fol. 195b. \| Several ownership statements on fol. 1a. Reading statement in the name of al-faqīr Sulaymān on fol. 193b.
