According to colophon volume 2 completed 16 Ramaḍān 1180 by Muḥammad ibn Qāsim al-Qīrrī? (v. 2, fol. 176a)., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and in Him we seek help. Praise be to God, the Mighty, Merciful King, the Great Curtain... As for what follows, the learned Sheikh Abu Ishaq Ibn Mufarraj Al-Souri said, may God have mercy on him, as for what follows, I have stopped at Sayer and the chapters of the Prophets and the Lives of Kings..., Colophon (vol. 1): The first half of the biography of Alexander Dhul-Qarnayn Ibn Darab Al-Rumi has been completed, and God grants success to what is right, and to Him is the return and the source | Volume 1: Later half-bound type III (without flap) binding in red leather and brown spotted paper. Volume 2: Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in dark brown leather. Color-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind tooled edging on cover. Similar decoration on flap. Block pressed design on blue paper pastedowns. Volume is larger than volume 1. | Ownership signatures: Aḥmad al-Qāḍī ibn ʻUthmān al-Hindī, obscured names, with dates of 1188 and 1233, seal impressions (v. 1, fol. 1a); Saʻd dated 1182, Aḥmad?
