Light cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible., Origin: Copied in Damascus on 5 Rajab 775 [Dec. 21, 1373] by ʻUmar ibn ʻĀdī ibn ʻAlī al-Maqdīsī al-Ḥanbalī (colophon, fol. 8b)., Incipit: The Sheikh, the Imam, the scholar, the scholar, the knowledgeable, the foolish, Abu Abbas, Imad al-Din Ahmad ibn Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Wasiti, said, May God sanctify his soul... Praise be to God. For the frequency of His blessings and the succession of the verse, much praise goes up to Him in His Highness. Explicit: He does not make us among those who have had a long road and who have afflicted him with the affairs of his world, including obstacles. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds. The message has been completed. Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, his family, and his companions until the Day of Judgment.
