Know that the truth of the claim belongs to his brother Abdul Rahman, and neither his cousins have a right to it. Rather, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ordered the eldest to speak..., Colophon: The completion of writing this copy was from a copy written from the handwriting of its author, Faqir, may God have mercy on him, the Most High, Al-Munami, Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Alqami Al-Shafi’i, who is one of those who took his mercy from the author. God Almighty, on the blessed Monday, the seventeenth day of the sacred month of Dhul-Qi’dah, of the months of the year nine hundred and ninety-eight of the Noble Hijra, bestowed blessings and the most pure peace upon its owner, at the hands of the poor servant who confessed to sin and negligence, the poor Ali ibn al-Hajj Issa al-Qalili al-Shafi’i, the disciple of Sheikh Ahmed al-Dajjani, may God Almighty have mercy on him, and sanctify his secret and light his shrine. He asks God Almighty to grant him a sincere and thorough repentance that leads to a good ending, and to make it easy for him to complete what he begins to abrogate after that, for it is the waiting period in every hardship.
