This is what the discerning hadith scholar desperately needed for a summary of genealogies that is sufficient to the point., Explicit: His author said the conclusion of the preservation and the sign. The diligent scholars Jalal al-Din Abu al-Fadl Abd al-Rahman al-Suyuti al-Shafi’i... This is the last of the book, and praise be to God. Its summary was said by Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr al-Suyuti… I summarized it in ten successive days, the last of which was Monday the seventeenth of Safar in the year one hundred and seventy-three and eight hundred, from an authentic corresponding copy on the basis of Ibn al-Atheer, and at the end of it is what the text of it was completed by its author on the third of the remaining ten days of Jumada al-Awwal in the year six hundred and fifteen... and I have investigated this. The summary is a lot of what they missed, and I recovered a lot of it, and most of what I added from Mu’jam al-Buldan, by Yaqut al-Hamawi, may God have mercy on them all, and praise be to God alone... and his companions, peace and blessings be upon them. Both covers have a similar central blind-tooled and gold painted mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis inscribed within a single gold painted fillet and an elaborate outer frame consisting of blind-tooled fillets and running patterns. The envelope flap has a similar frame with a smaller blind-tooled and gold painted motif on its pointe. Embossed leather double.
