Collection of ḥadīths on angels. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., Physical description: 21 to 24 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with occasional use of red ; yāʾ for alif maqṣūrah. Thick European paper with watermark (Tre lune) ; glossy. Title on tail of text block. Short text on Iblīs on fol. 1a. The colophon is followed by a short saying attributed to Ibn Masʻūd (fol. 105a)., Collation: Paper, fol. i, 106, i ; i (free endpaper) 1-10¹⁰ 11⁶ i (free endpaper) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf ; the second quire is numbered using Arabic numerals (fol. 11a)., Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Ḥadīth 10". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥ 484"., Origin: According to colophon, copied by ʻAlī ibn al-marḥūm shaykh al-Islām al-shaykh ʻĀmir al-SHBRLWī(?) al-Shāfiʻī for himself, and completed in the middle of Ṣafar 1064 [April 1654] (fol. 105a)., Copyist: ʻAlī ibn ʻĀmir al-SHBRLWī(?) al-Shāfiʻī., Incipit: بسم ... به نستعين الحمد لله جاعل الملايكة رسلا اولي اجنهة ... فهذا تاليف لطيف جمعته في اخبار الملايكة الابرار واستوعبت فيه ما وردت به الاحاديث والاثار, Explicit: والمعقبات فى قوله تعالى له معقبات من بين يديه ومن خلفه اتنهى | Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers.
