Dark cream paper, glossy, with laid lines visible. Ḥāshiyah on the margin. Table of contents on fol. 1a., Inscription in Arabic numerals on fol. 1a: "1066" (repeated on a spine label -- vertical)., Origin: According to colophon, copied by Ibn Niẓām al-Dīn ʻAbd al-Walī, Dār al-irshād Ardabīl, 14 Shaʻbān 975 [Feb. 13, 1568] (fol. 407b, with seal)., Incipit: In the name... and by it we seek help. Praise be to God for the reasons for blessings and the synonymous favor bestowed upon him by sending the prophets... As for what follows, this is the book of the rules of rulings in knowing what is permissible and what is forbidden. In it I summarized the core of its fatwas and explained in it the rules of rulings of selection. Explicit: Whatever flaw, deficiency, error, or forgetfulness you find, this is my advice to you, by God. My successor, may the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. The book, the rules and rulings, have been completed with the help of God, the All-Knowing King | Half bound in golden brown leather and paper.
