Notes According to the title page, this is a copy of the twenty-first part of al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīḥ. However the vol. as extant appears to have a number of misplaced folios, with no proper order. The first 15 folios are as follows: on the first 7 fol., Kitāb al-tafsīr, Sūrat al-Ḥujarāt (49). This passage carries on on fol. 11, with three unconnected folios in between (fol. 8: end of Kitāb al-tafsīr, Sūrat al-Nūr (24), Bāb 11 - Beginning of Sūrat al-Furqān ; fol. 9: end of Sūrat Luqmān (31) - Beginning of Sūrat al-Sajdah (32) ; fol. 10: end of Sūrat al-Dukhān (44), Bāb 5 - Beginning of Sūrat al-Aḥqāf (46). After fol. 11, another set of unconnected leaves, from fol. 12 to 15 (fol. 12-13: End of Sūrat al-Raʻd (13) - Beginning of Sūrat al-Ḥijr (15) ; fol. 14: end of Sūrat al-Layl (92), Bāb 4 - Beginning of Sūrat al-Ḍuḥá ; fol. 15: Sūrat al-Bayyinah (98), Bāb 2 - Sūrat al-Zalzalah (99), Bāb 1). Animal damage with loss of text on fol. 40-47., Decoration: Illuminated title page (ʻunwān) on fol. 1a: Simple illumination, with an upper panel with the inscription "al-Juzʼ al-ḥādī wa-al-ʻashrūn" written in gold outlined in black in a cloud cartouche left blank over a ground hatched in red with gold dots in groups of three. Gold and black border outlined in gold(?) with flecks radiating from each corner. Medallion on the left side of the panel, with a floral motif outlined in black on a red ground, with a gold and black border outlined in gold(?) with a fleck radiating towards the left. Underneath is a circular panel written in a similar way, with the inscription "min al-Jāmiʻ al-ṣaḥīḥ al-mukhtaṣar min umūr Sayyidnā Rasūl Allāh ... wa-sunanihi wa-ayāmihi taʼlīf al-ʻAllāmah Abī ʻAbd Allāh".
