And since most of the worldly and hereafter pleasures were in eating delicious food and drinks, and anointing one’s clothes and body was something that brought one closer to one’s loved ones. Dear friends, that is why I collected this book and called it the link to the Beloved... in describing the good things and perfumes, and I did not put anything in it until after...
