Al-Muqaddima, entitled in the colophon Kitāb aẓ-Ẓāhirī fī l-ʿibar bi-aẖbār al-ʿArab wa l-ʿAǧam wa l-Barbar. The copyist reproduces the colophon where the author says he wrote his work in five months and finished it in 779h/1377-78, therefore before the various additions.
