Notes It is a history of the scientific movement in Qatar Sus, and the author begins by saying that there was no significant scientific movement in Sus until the eighth century AH, and that the scientific renaissance in Sus began after the eighth century. He explains the reasons for this renaissance, explains the policy of the Moroccan kings in encouraging Sus scholars and their altruism, and presents to us a long record of Susian families that were known for science. The Sussian scholars were famous for their mastery of the highest levels of interpretation, hadith, biography, language, grammar, jurisprudence, prosody, and medicine. Then he talks about Sussian literature and presents us with examples of the poetry of the Suss poets. After that, he mentions some of the Sussus scholars, most notably Sheikh Muhammad al-Hadiki, who died in the year 1118 AH, and his student Sheikh al-Hawziwi. This literary renaissance continued in Sus during the thirteenth century AH, and at the forefront of its leaders was Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Alfi, who founded a true literary school. He presents to us various examples of the poets of this era, and concludes his book by mentioning his references.
