Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God Almighty in his mention: “Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him”: Al-Humaidi Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr told us: Sufyan told us, he said: Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari told us, he said: Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Taymi told me that he heard Alqamah bin Waqqas Al-Laythi saying: I heard Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, on the pulpit saying: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saying: “Actions are based on intentions, and each person will have only what he intended.”
