Notes A summary of tricks in which he mentioned that when he saw tricks and exits as permissible on the basis of evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and the consensus of the nation, he picked up the issues of tricks and concessions in acts of worship and transactions from the books of the predecessors and extracted them from the fatwas of later scholars, then collected them and made them chapters and added to each chapter whatever questionable issues aside from it. He said in Kashf al-Zunun: It is a small book, like the tricks of the Khasaf. He mentioned that he picked up from the books the issues of tricks and concessions in acts of worship and dealings, and it contains significant additions to the Khasaf. He mentioned it in fatwas. The jurist mentioned in this book from beginning to end in absolute terms is the jurist Abu al-Layth al-Samarqandi, may God be pleased with him, and the most likely opinion among the sayings of the sheikhs whose statements were mentioned in it is also him, may God have mercy on them.
