Notes I mentioned this card in the previous index. The copy is from the manuscripts of the thirteenth century AH. It was written in black ink, except for the chapters, chapters, faqar heads, and the names of the surahs, which are written in red. In the margins are some comments.
Sample Text Praise be to God, who, with the splendor of His wisdom, gathered together the diverse sciences in the most concise book, and with the levers of His guidance, opened up the hidden understandings to the most eloquent discourse. He revealed it with the most eloquent meaning, the best order, the most concise wording, and the most eloquent speech. And after: When it was the year eighty-two after the millennium, God Almighty granted me the journey to Thebes... A group of its eminent people accompanied me in reading the seven recitations, and some of them in the ten.
