Notes	The text is followed, and Al-Safadi has a book with the same title. Ibn Faris said in Dictionary of Standards of Language 4/255: “Al-Adhar: an excuse for bridles. He said: And whatever is on the cheeks that has been ironed or drawn for a long time is an ‘Adhar. You say of Al-Adhar: I excused the horse, so I excuse him with an excuse with the ‘Adhar, in the meaning of his bridle. And I excused the bridle, that is, I made an excuse for him. Then they borrow this and say to the one who is engaged in wrongdoing: “Remove the excuse.”
