Notes It is a book of biographies of men in which the author arranged the surnames according to the letters of the dictionary and then arranged the names in a surname according to the letters of the dictionary as well. This copy includes the fourth volume of the book, beginning with the one surnamed Izz al-Din, and it is a photostat copy of the copy of the Zahiri Treasury in Damascus, which was written in the author’s hand. The author placed the proper names on the right page, their translation on the left page, and made each page into several horizontal and vertical fields. This volume contains more than 2,500 translations. Professor Korkis Awad said in Sumer magazine when describing this copy that it was printed in India by Muhammad Abd al-Quddus al-Qasimi, and it is true that al-Qasimi printed part of the complex, not the summary. Dr. Mustafa Jawad wrote on the first page: “There was a defect in the binding of this copy, so names were excluded from its biographies and biographies from their names. Its first author numbered it despite the defect and defect in order to mislead the reader into believing that the book was properly bound and in good order... We have corrected this illusion and others like it in our copy that we quoted from this illustration.”
