Praise be to God, the Possessor of blessings, favors, and generosity, the Creator of creations and the Creator of the breeze, who created existence with his wisdom from nothingness, taught us from him what we did not know, and favored us with his generosity... This is the book “Tricks in Wars, Conquest of Cities, and Preservation of Paths” from the rule of Dhul-Qarnayn, Alexander Ibn Philip the Greek. It was found in Demas in Alexandria between two stones, one facing the other, written in Greek and translated into Arabic.
